Job Summary
As a Demi Chef de Partie - Hot Kitchen, you will play a vital role in preparing, cooking, and presenting dishes to the highest standards. You will work closely with the Chef de Partie and Sous Chef to ensure the smooth running of the hot kitchen section, maintain quality control, and adhere to all health and safety regulations. This is an excellent opportunity for a passionate and skilled chef looking to further develop their culinary expertise in a dynamic and professional environment.
Key Responsibilities
Assist the Chef de Partie in the preparation, cooking, and presentation of hot kitchen dishes.Ensure that all dishes are prepared to the highest quality and consistency, following established recipes and presentation standards.
Take responsibility for a specific section within the hot kitchen and manage it effectively.
Assist in daily kitchen operations, including mise en place, stock control, and maintaining cleanliness and organization.
Ensure that all food items are properly stored, labeled, and rotated to minimize waste and maintain freshness.
Adhere to food safety and hygiene standards, maintaining a clean and safe work environment at all times.
Work collaboratively with the kitchen team to ensure smooth service and effective communication.
Support the Chef de Partie and Sous Chef in creating new menu items and contributing ideas for improvement.
Monitor and manage portion control and minimize waste.
Assist in training and mentoring junior kitchen staff and apprentices.
Qualifications
Proven experience as a Demi Chef de Partie or similar role in a high-quality restaurant, hotel, or similar establishment.Strong knowledge of hot kitchen operations, cooking techniques, and food safety standards.
Culinary degree or equivalent professional training preferred.
Ability to work efficiently under pressure and handle multiple tasks simultaneously.
Strong attention to detail, creativity, and passion for cooking.
Excellent communication and teamwork skills.
Flexibility to work shifts, including weekends, evenings, and holidays.
