RESPONSIBILITIES

- Supervise daily baking operations, ensuring the production of top-quality baked goods. 
- Develop, refine, and test new recipes to enhance the bakery’s product selection. 
- Lead, train, and mentor bakers and pastry chefs to uphold consistency and excellence. 
- Monitor inventory levels, placing timely orders to prevent shortages or waste. 
- Enforce strict adherence to food safety and hygiene regulations. 
- Maintain a clean, organized, and efficient bakery workspace. 
- Collaborate with management to design and implement seasonal menus and special events. 
- Gather and respond to customer feedback, continuously improving products and service. 
- Oversee cost control measures, optimizing ingredient use without compromising quality. 
- Stay updated on industry trends and introduce innovative techniques or ingredients. 


REQUIREMENTS 

- Demonstrated experience as a Head Baker or in a similar leadership role. 
- Expertise in baking techniques, ingredient functions, and modern equipment. 
- Ability to develop and tailor recipes to meet evolving customer preferences. 
- Strong leadership, coaching, and team management capabilities. 
- Excellent organizational and time-management skills in a fast-paced environment. 
- Keen attention to detail with a commitment to maintaining high standards. 
- Thorough knowledge of food safety, sanitation, and workplace safety regulations. 
- Willingness to work flexible hours, including early mornings, weekends, and holidays. 
- Business acumen to assist in cost control, waste reduction, and efficiency improvements. 
- Passion for baking and a continuous drive for creativity and excellence.

QUALIFICATIONS

- Proven experience as a Head Baker / Sous Chef or similar role, with a strong focus on Bakery Operation.
- Experience in bulk cooking is essential.
- Culinary degree or relevant certification preferred.
- In-depth knowledge of pastry and bakery cooking techniques, ingredients, and regional specialties.
- Strong organizational and multitasking skills.
- Ability to work effectively as part of a team in a fast-paced kitchen environment.
- Excellent attention to detail and commitment to maintaining high standards of food quality and hygiene.
- Fluency in English
