The story of Padma Hotels dates back to 1985 when Mr. Budi Hartono, Chairman of P.T. Puri Zuqni, purchased 6,8 hectares of prime land in Legian, Bali. He realized the untapped potential of this oceanfront site and saw an opportunity to establish a 5-star hotel.

The first Padma property

The first Padma property was inaugurated in September 1990 under the name of The Bali Padma Hotel. It was a veritable sanctuary located just footsteps from Bali’s most celebrated stretch of sunset beach.
