A great opportunity for a Head Sushi Chef with a luxury resort in the Bahamas
The head sushi chef is a specialty Sous Chef, and member of the management team, and will be responsible for managing the kitchen and back of house personnel
You will also manage food and labor costs and develop menu items for both the restaurant and banquet facilities
We are looking for someone with excellent communication and team management skills and maintain the highest of culinary standards, display initiative, dedication and a true passion for both hospitality and fine cuisine
As specialty Sous Chef (Head Sushi Chef) you will lead the sushi team in multiple outlets and prepares sushi dishes in accordance with food health and safety regulations and restaurant standards
You are required to have expert cutting, slicing, and filleting skills and effectively supervise all kitchen staff and all culinary operations for assigned shifts
