Chipotle peppers are made by smoking and drying jalapeño peppers. The name “chipotle” comes from the Nahuatl word “chilpoctli,” which means “smoked chili pepper.”
How to make Smoky Chipotle BBQ Sauce
Ingredients:
• 2 cups ketchup
• ½ cup apple cider vinegar
• ¼ cup packed brown sugar
• 2 tablespoons honey
• 2 chipotle peppers in adobo sauce, minced
• 1 tablespoon adobo sauce
• 1 tablespoon Worcestershire sauce
• 1 teaspoon smoked paprika
