Job Summary:
The Demi Chef de Partie supports the Chef de Partie in daily kitchen operations, assisting in preparing, cooking, and presenting high-quality dishes. This role bridges between commis chefs and the CDP, ensuring smooth workflow, consistency, and adherence to hygiene standards.
Key Responsibilities:
- Assist the Chef de Partie in preparing and cooking dishes to the highest standards.
- Supervise and guide commis chefs in their section.
- Ensure correct portioning, presentation, and consistency of dishes.
- Follow recipes, SOPs, and food safety standards (HACCP).
- Maintain cleanliness and organization of the workstation.
- Assist in stock control, receiving, and storing ingredients properly.
- Report shortages, equipment issues, or quality concerns to the Chef de Partie.
- Work efficiently during service hours and support other sections when required.
