The successful candidate should have a passion for culinary arts and a deep knowledge of Asian cuisine, with the ability to create and prepare a variety of dishes from countries such as Japan, China, Thailand, Vietnam, and Indonesian and Malaysian among others.
The Chef de Cuisine should be responsible for the planning and development of menus, ensuring all meals are prepared and presented to the highest possible standards.
Responsibilities:
• Prepare a wide variety of goods such as sushi rolls, sashimi, stir fry etc.
• Understand visitors’ preferences and make suggestions based on their preferences.
• Train kitchen staff on the preparation, cooking, and presentation of Asian cuisine.
• Ensure compliance with all health and safety regulations within the kitchen area.
• Monitor inventory levels and order supplies as needed.
• Stay current on culinary trends and techniques in Asian cuisine.
• Cost Controlling
Requirements:
• Experience working on a hotel environment is a plus
• Advanced knowledge of culinary, Sushi, Sashimi new Style Sushi and Sashimi techniques.
• Knowledge about Steak cooking techniques and dry aging
• Ability to remain calm and undertake various tasks.
• Fluency in English
• Stable background
• Culinary school diploma preferred.
